General description

Ceramide-1-phosphate (C1P) is a ceramide-derived metabolite, which belongs to the class of bioactive lipid mediators.

Application

C18:1 Ceramide-1-Phosphate (d18:1/18:1(9Z)) may be used for fluorescence analysis of phosphatidic acid-binding tetravalent peptide (PAB-TP) phospholipid specificity. It may also be used in liposome cosedimentation assay to compare its affinity with α-synuclein-N.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Ceramide-1-phosphate (C1P) regulates cell survival, cell growth and death. It mediates inflammatory response and phagocytosis.
