General description

TSKgel BioAssist Q columns are packed with spherical, polymer beads with approx. 4000Ã… pores. They are surface modified with a polyamine anion exchange groups. The very large pores allow large biomolecules to freely enter and exit the pores resulting in higher binding capacity and better recovery of activity than other competivie materials. The standard column is 4.6mm ID x 5cm, while a 10mm ID x 10cm semi-preparative column is available for scale-up. Both columns are made of PEEK to reduce protein adsorption.
