General description

The Anti-V5 Magnetic Beads are prepared using an affinity-purified anti-V5 antibody produced in mouse conjugated to cyanogen bromide-activated magnetic beads at a protein-to-bead ratio of approximately 2 mg/mL. The Anti-V5 antibody specifically recognizes an epitope located on V5-tagged fusion proteins. It offers specific reactivity with both N-terminal and C-terminal V5-tagged fusion proteins and is suitable for immunoprecipitation or immunoaffinity purification. These magnetic beads can be used for purifying expressed V5-tagged fusion proteins from bacterial lysates, mammalian lysates, or transfected cells and to study protein topology, characterize, and identify new proteins, protein complexes, and associated proteins.

Application

Anti-V5 magnetic beads have been used for the purification of V5-tagged proteins using the process of immunoprecipitation.

Features and Benefits

  • Beads are prepared with an affinity-purified anti-V5 antibody.
  • Monoclonal Anti-V5 antibody is produced by fusing mouse myeloma cells and splenocytes from a BALB/c mouse.
  • Protein-to-bead ratio is approximately 2 mg/mL.
