General description

A stable labeled internal standard suitable for monitoring Vanilmandelic acid levels in LC/MS applications such as endocrinology and clinical and diagnostic testing. Vanilmandelic acid, or VMA, is a urinary metabolite of the catecholamines epinephrine and norepinephrine.

Application

  • Cardiovascular Effects in Chronic Conditions: A randomized controlled trial investigating the effects of resveratrol on endothelial function in patients with chronic kidney disease and diabetes, where Trinitroglycerin solution may be used as a comparator or adjunct treatment, underscores its importance in cardiovascular research. This study aids in determining the therapeutic potential of vasodilators in managing chronic conditions, providing valuable data for pharmaceutical development and patient care (Gimblet et al., 2023).
