General description

Multi walled carbon nanotubes (MWNTs, CNTs) were prepared by chemical vapor deposition (CVD). In chemical vapor deposition (CVD), a volatile precursor undergoes thermal decomposition at elevated temperatures to form a solid deposit on a substrate. 1 Carboxylic acid groups can be attached to the defect sides and ends of the nanotube by treatment with oxidizing agents. Carboxylic acid groups can be easily derivatized into different functional groups.
We are committed to bringing you Greener Alternative Products, which adhere to one or more of The 12 Principles of Greener Chemistry. This product belongs to Enabling category of greener alternatives thus aligns with "Design for energy efficency". Carbon nanotubes are ideal materials due to its impressive material properties such as mechanical strength, thermal and electrical conductivity.Click herefor more information.

Professor Rivnay (Northwestern University, USA) discusses using organic mixed conductors as an alternative to efficiently bridge the ionic world of biology with contemporary microelectronics.

Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) have received much attention since their discovery in 1991 by Sumio lijima1 due to their excellent mechanical, electrical, and optical properties.

A nanocomposite is typically defined as a mixture between a host material (e.g., polymer matrix) and nanofillers with at least one dimension of less than 100 nm.
