General description
Magnesium sulphate reduces eclampsia in women. It may inhibit N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptor to accomplish the anticonvulsant activity.
Application
Magnesium sulphate has been used:
- as a component of M63 working medium solution for E. coli microcolonies in gel beads and Synechocystis liquid growth medium
- as a buffer component for phosphoglycerate mutase assay and ribokinase activity assay
- in ice-cold assay buffer for plasma membrane cholesterol measurement assay in immortalized bone marrow-derived macrophages (iBMDMs)
