Gene Information

human ... KDM2B(84678)

General description

JmjC domain-containing histone demethylation protein 1B, also known as Lysine-specific demethylase 2B, is a nuclear enzyme encoded by the JHDM1B gene (also known as KDM2B) in human. JHDM1A/KDM2B exhibits H3K36-specific demethylase activity with a preference for H3K36me2 over H3K36me and H3K36me3 (PMID 16362057). JHDM1A/KDM2B is also reported to negatively regulate cell proliferation by targeting rDNA and thereby repressing the transcription of rRNA in a JmjC-domain-dependent manner (PMID 17994099).

Immunogen

KLH-conjugated linear peptide corresponding to human JHDM1B.

Application

Anti-JHDM1B Antibody is a rabbit polyclonal antibody for detection of JHDM1B also known as lysine (K)-specific demethylase 2B, F-box protein FBL10, [Histone-H3]-lysine-36 demethylase 1B & has been validated in WB, ICC.

Histone methylation is the important transcription regulatory system that affects mammalian development and cell differentiation. Alterations in epigenetic gene regulation are associated with disease. Fbxl10 (F-box and leucine-rich repeat protein 10) is a JmjC domain-containing histone demethylase. Although Fbxl10 has

The F-box and leucine-rich repeat protein 10 (Fbxl10) gene encodes a protein that catalyzes demethylation of H3K4 and H3K36. In this study, we show the important roles of FBXL10 as a histone demethylase in sustainable sperm production using mice in
