General description

The gene ZFAND1 (zinc finger AN1-type containing 1) encodes a protein containing an AN1-type zinc finger (Zf_AN1) and a divergent ubiquitin-like domain (UBL) at the C-terminus. The gene is mapped to human chromosome 8q21.13. The encoded protein is uncharacterized. Mutations in this gene have been associated with cancers, such as ovarian carcinoma.

Application
