Application

NanoFabTx™ Polymers for Microneedles are carefully selected polymers that can be used to formulate microneedle patches. Microneedles are tiny projections of polymeric needles that can vary in length, pitch, and array for topical drug delivery applications. They are typically composed of biodegradable synthetic or natural polymers at a variety of suitable concentrations.
Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) is a synthetic water-soluble polymer and it widely used in many drug delivery applications. It is a biocompatible polymer which is available in different molecular weights. The formation of the microneedles depends on the molecular weight and concentration of PVA.
The NanoFabTx™ Polymers for Microneedles can be used with the microneedle templates to formulate microneedles that can be used for several applications, such as delivering various therapeutic molecules and vaccine antigens via the skin.
The selected polymer will enable users to:
1) save time in polymer selection by providing a starting point to formulate microneedles and avoiding lengthy trial-and-error optimization.
2)formulate microneedles for various drug delivery applications.
