General description

SOURCE 15Q is a polymeric, strong anion exchanger designed for polishing steps in both research and industrial applications.

Application

SOURCE 15Q is a synthetic high performance, preparative, chromatography medium, based on a 15 μm monosized, rigid polystyrene/divinyl benzene polymer matrix. It is modified with quaternary ammonium (Q) strong anion exchange groups. SOURCE media have excellent physical and chemical characteristics, allowing high flow rates and consistent performance.

With its very high resolution, SOURCE 15Q is suitable for polishing steps in in both research and industrial applications.

Through the combination of high quality assurance standards and a patented manufacturing process, particle structure is consistent both bead-to-bead and batch-to batch.

As member of the BioProcess media range, SOURCE 15Q meets industrial demands with security of supply and comprehensive technical and regulatory support.

Features and Benefits

  • Mono-sized 15 um rigid beads gives Low back pressure and high flow rates allowing for high productivity
  • Strong anion exchanger designed for high resolution polishing purification of Proteins, peptides and oligonucleotides
  • High chemical stability allowing for wide range of working conditions with good resistance to cleaning conditions at high pH

This page shows Hydrophobic Interaction Chromatography (HIC) in a purification strategy.

Here the correct ways for Column, Media and Sample preparation for Hydrophobic Interaction Chomatography (HIC) with GE Healthcare media are detailed, including sample application, load volume and temperature

Protocols

In this section the practical aspect of Reverse Phased Chromatography ( RPC) is discussed including media and column selection and eluent selection and preparation.

While ligands contribute significantly to the degree of hydrophobicity of a medium, the matrix can also influence the final selectivity. Chromatography media for hydrophobic interaction are made from porous matrices, chosen for their physical stability, their chemical resistance to stringent cleaning conditions and their low level of non-specific interaction.
