General description

A zwitterionic amidosulfobetaine detergent that exhibits better protein extraction properties than CHAPS.
A zwitterionic amidosulfobetaine detergent useful for solubilizing proteins visualized by 2D-electrophoresis. The increased solubilization produced by this detergent enables the identification of previously undetected membrane proteins.

Application

  • Effect of bovine pericardial extracellular matrix scaffold niche on seeded human mesenchymal stem cell function.: This paper explores the influence of the bovine pericardial extracellular matrix on human mesenchymal stem cells, with ASB-14 used to modulate cellular responses. The research contributes to advancements in scaffold-based tissue engineering (Liu et al., 2016).

  • In vivo xenogeneic scaffold fate is determined by residual antigenicity and extracellular matrix preservation.: Investigating the fate of xenogeneic scaffolds in vivo, this study shows that ASB-14 helps maintain extracellular matrix integrity and reduce antigenicity, which is critical for successful scaffold integration and function in tissue engineering (Wong et al., 2016).
