General description

Carbon Cap capsule filters are filled with activated carbon and include a pleated glass fiber filter. They are suitable for adsorption of organic vapors from air, and for removing color, organics, and chlorine from water.

Carbon cap for organic and chlorine filtration

Large volume chlorine and organic filtration are facilitated by activated carbon, which adsorbs these molecules. Carbon Cap is a filter filled with high-purity, high-efficiency, acid-washed, activated carbon and a High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filter. It is made specifically for adsorption of organic vapors, chlorine, and decolorizing liquids.

Application

  • Water, chemical, and reagent purification
  • Removes noxious odors, oil mists, and contaminants
  • Compressed air lines and vacuum pumpsInstrument outlet exhausts
  • Eliminates a potential health hazard from the workplace

Features and Benefits

  • Activated carbon acts as an adsorption media for color, organics, and chlorine
  • Pleated glass microfiber filter structure increases surface area, resulting in high efficiency
  • Retains 99.97% of particles greater than 0.3 µm
