General description

Certan Vial
Fumonisin B1 belongs to the family of toxins known as fumonisins. It is produced by several species of Fusarium molds, primarily by Fusarium verticillioide. It is one of the major mycotoxin contaminant in corn and corn-based foods. Furthermore it is hepatotoxic and nephrotoxic.

Application

Fumonisin B1 maybe used in the fumonisin injection experiment to study pulmonary edema and hydrothorax in swine produced by fumonisin B1.

Plasma membranes encapsulated in the symplasmic nanochannels of plasmodesmata (PD) contain abundant lipid rafts, which are enriched with sphingolipids (SLs) and sterols. Reduction of sterols has highlighted the role played by lipid raft integrity in the intercellular trafficking of glycosylphosphatidylinositol
