Opis ogólny

Prednisolone prevents protease activity in vitro. It stimulates myogenesis and inhibits apoptosis. Prednisolone is used to treat Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD),[1] gout arthritis[2] and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) exacerbations.[3]

Zastosowanie

Prednisolone has been used for the Δ1-dehydrogenation of hydrocortisone by gel entrapped arthrobacter simplex cells.[4]
