Polyacrylamide glycan conjugates (Glyc-PAA; PA series) are powerful and versatile tools in glycobiology, extensively adopted by researchers for microplate coating and as antigens or ligands for viral and bacterial lectins. PAA's hydrophilicity, flexibility, and stability under diverse chemical conditions enable increased affinity for glycan-binding proteins. Biotinylated versions (Glyc-PAA-biot; BP series) with biotin tags are especially valuable for visualization and quantification assays, while fluorophore glycan conjugates (Glyc-fluorescein; FP series) are extensively employed in the study of cell-bound lectins.
Join us for an innovative webinar exploring glycan conjugates and their applications in glycobiology. Our expert speakers, Professor Nicolai Bovin and Dr. Karnakar Chitta, will share valuable insights through a live discussion and Q&A.
Key topics include:
- The role of glycoconjugates in key biological processes and their associations.
- The diverse types of glycoconjugates available and their specific applications.
- How the use of glycoconjugates significantly expands the potential for discovering drug targets related to infectious diseases, inflammation, and cancer.
Speakers
Professor Nicolai Bovin

Chief Scientific Officer
Nicolai received his PhD in 1982 with his thesis entitled “Synthesis of blood group related oligosaccharides H, A, and Lea, and their immobilisation on polymeric matrix”. In 1993 he received a DSc with a thesis entitled “Neoglycoconjugates: synthesis and application for hemo- and oncodiagnostics”. Nicolai is very well published with ~500 per-reviewed journal articles, >15 000 citations and an h-index of 60. Since 2001 Nicolai has been Professor at the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry and the CSO for Kode Biotech Ltd, and from 2016-2022 was a Professor at Auckland University of Technology. His current research interests focus on many aspects glycobiology, glycoimmunology and carbohydrate-protein interactions including synthesis of oligosaccharides and neoglycoconjugates, supramolecular chemistry, naturally occurring glycan antibodies, lectins, glycoarrays, dendritic cells, B1 lymphocytes, cell microvesicles and various therapeutics/diagnostics for influenza, transfusion, transplantation, infectious diseases and cancer.
