General description

Assayed in therapeutic drug monitoring to ensure patients remain within the drug’s therapeutic range, mycophenolic acid is an immunosuppressant drugand the active metabolite of the prodrug mycophenolate mofetil. This internalstandard is suitable for quantification of mycophenolic acid levels in wholeblood or plasma by LC-MS/MS for therapeutic drug monitoring and other clinical or diagnostic applications.

Application

  • Mycophenolic acid-d₃ in pharmacokinetic studies: Mycophenolic acid-d₃ is widely used as an internal standard in pharmacokinetic research to ensure the accurate measurement of drug levels and their metabolites in biological samples, which is vital for optimizing dosing regimens of immunosuppressive drugs (Upadhyay et al., 2014).
