My key objective is to use the latest practices within chemistry to explore new avenues in drug development that are more efficient and sustainable. For example, our research within the Goossen group uses highly functional group-tolerant transformations to create more efficient development procedures for new drug molecules.

We aim to be relentless in the pursuit of knowledge. An example of this was during my research in developing YPhos ligands. Our initial work produced an unsatisfactory yield from our reaction, prompting us to look closer into the catalytic system. This insight ultimately led us to the creation of something much more significant. As chemistry is the center of virtually every product, we believe a comprehensive understanding of chemical processes can catalyze advancements in all sectors, whether that be in the food, health, or the materials science industry.
