Description

Analysis Note

Active amyl alcohol and isoamyl alcohol are by-products of the fermentation process. They are of concern to alcoholic beverage manufacturers due to their aroma characteristics. In this application, both analytes and several n-alkane markers are analyzed on SLB IL76i. This inert ionic liquic column produces great peak shapes for both alcohols, resulting in great resolution.
