General description
Each unit of SRM 1980 contains a single 60 cm³ polyethylene bottle filled with 40 cm³ of suspension, which should be diluted before analysis. The suspension contains a 500 mg/L goethite (α-FeOOH) saturated with 100 μmol/g phosphate in a 5 × 10⁻² mol/L sodium perchlorate electrolyte solution, with a pH of 2.5. Application
The Standard Reference Material (SRM) is primarily intended for use in evaluating equipment and validating methodologies for measuring electrophoretic mobility.
