General description

The IsoBag® TSA Contact Plus is designed for quick and convenient transfer of culture media used for surface monitoring in isolators or RAB systems. The Beta bag consists of a sterile polyurethane DPTE Bag compatible with 190 mm Alpha Ports. The bag contains 100 lockable 55 mm contact plates filled with Tryptic Soy Agar.
TSA medium is used for the cultivation and isolation of a wide range of bacteria, yeasts, and molds. The formulation contains a combination of casein and soy peptones supplying organic nitrogen, particularly amino acids and longer-chained peptides. Sodium chloride maintains the osmotic equilibrium, and the medium is supplemented with neutralizers such as lecithin, polysorbate (Tween®) 80, histidine, and sodium thiosulfate to inactivate disinfectant residues. Additionally, the plate model (plus or “+”) is supplied with a lockable lid for safe transport after sampling.

Application

The IsoBag® TSA Contact plus is designed for quick and convenient transfer of culture media needed for surface monitoring in isolators or RAB systems.
