General description

Aroclor 1254 is found to be a complex mixture of polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB) congeners and is prepared by the chlorination of biphenyl.

Application

Aroclor 1248 may be used as a certified reference standard for the quantification of polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) in environmental matrices and transformer oil samples using chromatography techniques.
