SynLectro™ Electrolysis Platform

REACTIONS WITHIN REACH

With the new SynLectro™ Electrolysis Platform

Electrochemistry for organic synthesis is a technique that has gained popularity due to its ability to design complex small molecules that have previously been impossible to make or find more efficient ways to make known compounds. By using electrical energy to drive chemical change, a targeted section of the molecule can be transformed while leaving the rest of the structure untouched. In addition, the use of electricity replaces toxic and costly chemicals allowing the synthesis to be completed more efficiently, cleaner, and cheaper.

Our new SynLectro™ Electrolysis Platform is designed to simplify and standardize electrochemical organic synthesis at research and batch scale. With our convenient portfolio, there is no need to design or construct your setup anymore. Just choose your kit or pick your components a’la carte and you are ready to explore new electrochemical reactions.

Glass Cells and Stoppers

Figure 2.Glass Cells and Stoppers

Glass Cells and Stoppers

We offer four different cell configurations, a 50 mL cell, a 50 mL jacketed cell, a 200 mL cell, and a 200 mL jacketed cell. Our jacketed cells provide a simple interface to connect an external temperature control system to either heat or cool the electrolyte.

Our PTFE stopper and PTFE sleeve has been designed to separate electrical contacts from electrolyte and work exclusively with our glass cells.

Key Features

  • Designed to simplify setup, optimize reactivity, and improve safety
  • Side-arm enables connection to reflux condenser or inert gas
  • Jacketed option supports thermal control
  • Chemical resistant material (PTFE)
  • Protects electrical contacts from electrolytes
  • Sleeve (optional) prevents seized joints

Electrode Holders

We offer two electrode holder options: a stainless-steel electrode holder and a PTFE electrode holder, to connect the power source to the electrode.

Key Features

  • Fits snuggly through stopper, holding electrodes firmly in place to create homogenous electric field
  • Electrical contact end is compatible with commercial power supplies
  • Stainless steel
  • PTFE electrode holder prevents damage/scratching to electrode surface - for use with soft electrodes
