This application demonstrates the use of dispersive SPE or "QuEChERS" for the extraction and cleanup of whole cowโฒs milk for GC-ECD analysis of polychlorinated biphenyl (PCBs). Z-Sep sorbent was used in the cleanup step and found to reduce background and yield recoveries >70% for all PCB congeners evaluated except no. 209, which was recovered at 68%.
