A selective supplement recommended by ISO Committee for the isolation of Listeria species.

Components

(per vial, sufficient for 500 ml medium)
Ceftazidime 10.0 mg
Nalidixic acid sodium salt 10.0 mg
Amphotericin B 5.0 mg
Polymyxin B sulfate 38350 IU

Reconstitution

Rehydrate the contents of 1 vial aseptically with 2 ml of 0.2 N Sodium hydroxide, further add 8 ml of sterile distilled water. Mix well and aseptically add it to 465 ml of sterile, molten L. mono Differential Agar Base (Cat. No. 77408) along with sterile contents of Listeria mono Enrichement Supplement I (Cat. No. 03708). Mix well and pour into sterile petri plates.
