General description

Pyraflufen-ethyl is a herbicide which belongs to the phenylpyrazole class. It is used in controlling annual and perennial broadleaf weeds. The mode of action involves inhibiting the enzyme activity of protoporphyrinogen oxidase (Protox).

Application

Pyraflufen-ethyl may be used as a reference standard for the determination of pyraflufen-ethyl herbicide content in fruits and soil samples by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).
