General description

Chlorthion is an organophosphorus pesticide which belongs to the class of phosphorothionates. It inhibits acetylcholinesterase enzyme activity.

Application

Chlorthion may be used as an analytical reference standard for the determination of the analyte in aqueous samples and fruits/vegetables by solid-phase microextraction(SPME) in-line coupled to gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS), and modified quick, easy, cheap, effective, rugged and safe(QUECHERS) method with magnetic nanoparticles and gas chromatography tandem mass spectrometry, respectively.
