General description

Nonylphenol (5 μg/mL in acetone) is grouped under the class of alkylphenol compounds formed from the biodegradation of non-ionic surfactants alkylphenol ethoxylates (APEOs) mainly employed as detergents, emulsifiers and lubricants.

Application

Nonylphenol can be utilized as a reference standard for the quantification of the analyte in water samples by simultaneous derivatization and dispersive liquid-liquid microextraction (DLLME) followed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS).
