General description

14:0 PE-DTPA (Gd) has been used as a paramagnetic lipid to probe the orientation of a membrane protein in respect to the phospholipid bilayer membrane.
Lipid nanoparticles containing DMPE-DTPA(Gd) provide high quality contrast enhanced vascular MRI at 97% reduced dose of Gd and do not rely on renal clearance. Structure as shown by Cormode, D.P. et al.

High density lipoprotein (HDL) is an important natural nanoparticle that may be modified for biomedical imaging purposes. Here we developed a novel technique to create unique multimodality HDL mimicking nanoparticles by incorporation of gold, iron oxide, or quantum dot nanocrystals

In the present research, we investigated the use of paramagnetic liposomes as contrast agents (CAs) for the detection of solid tumors. The liposomes were sterically stabilized by a polyethylene glycol (PEG) coating, and their size was constrained to approximately 100

We have previously reported enhancing the imaging of atherosclerotic plaques in mice using reconstituted high density lipoproteins (HDL) as nanocarriers for the MRI contrast agent gadolinium (Gd). This study focuses on the underlying mechanisms of Gd delivery to atherosclerotic plaques.

Our team of scientists has experience in all areas of research including Life Science, Material Science, Chemical Synthesis, Chromatography, Analytical and many others.
