IR-806 is a near infrared (NIR) cyanine dye with an absorption peak in the range of 730-800 nm. It is a water soluble dye that is commonly used as an active medium in NIR dye lasers. It is a photo stable dye that is useful in biomedical applications.

Application

IR-806 can be used for a variety of applications such as dye sensitized solar cells (DSSCs), bio-imaging, and optical displays.
