General description

Anti-CEP135 Antibody detects endogenous levels of total CEP135 protein.
Cep135 (centrosomal protein 135) is a cartwheel protein. It has a coiled-coil domain and conserved regions near the N-terminus and the C-terminus, respectively. It is mapped to human chromosome 4q12.

Immunogen

The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human CEP135.

Immunogen Range: 1081-1130

Application

Anti-CEP135, C-Terminal antibody has been used in immunofluorescence staining.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Mutation in Cep135 (centrosomal protein 135) result in primary microcephaly. It induces centriole assembly and stability. CEP135 helps to maintain the structure and organization of microtubules. This protein plays a major role in centriole biogenesis.

Neuronal primary cilia are signaling organelles with crucial roles in brain development and disease. Cilia structure is decisive for their signaling capacities but the mechanisms regulating it are poorly understood. We identify Fbxo41 as a novel Skp1/Cullin1/F-box (SCF) E3-ligase complex
