10X Phosphate-Buffered Saline (PBS) for Western Blotting

Phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) is an isotonic solution that is used in many biological research applications. This 10X PBS recipe contains 1.37 M NaCl, 27 mM KCl, 100 mM Na₂HPO₄, and 18 mM KH₂PO₄. To make 1 L of 10X PBS stock solution, combine 17.8 g of Na₂HPO₄, 2.4 g of KH₂PO₄, 80 g of NaCl, 2 g of KCl, and adjust final volume to 1 L.
