General description

Buphedrone is a new synthetic cathinone marketed as “bath salts” or “plant food” over the internet. Bath salt products are sold in powder or crystalline form under names including Ivory Wave, Vanilla Sky, Pixie Dust, and White Dove. According to the US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), bath salt cathinones have grown increasingly popular among teenagers and young adults due to their ready availability over the internet and legal status.
