General description

Lacey carbon film supported TEM grids. This carbon coating consists of woven-mesh-like openings of different sizes and shapes. This type of pattern provides support but does not interfere when observing specimen sections.

Application

  • Investigation of Carbon Support on Ruthenium/Catalysts: This study explores the impact of carbon support properties on the efficiency of ruthenium/carbon catalysts for hydrogenation processes, using lacey carbon films on copper grids for catalyst characterization (Jones et al., 2016).
  • Nitrogen Doping of Carbon Supports for Hydrogen Production: Analyzes the effects of nitrogen-doped carbon supports for nickel catalysts in hydrogen production from formic acid, with characterizations performed on lacey carbon supported copper grids (Nishchakova et al., 2019).
  • Removal of Uranium on Carbon-Supported Iron Particles: Discusses the use of carbon-supported nanoscale zero-valent iron particles for uranium removal, where samples were mounted on lacey carbon supported copper grids for analysis (Crane & Scott, 2014).
  • Redispersion of Carbon-Supported Metal Catalysts: Focuses on the redispersion strategies for high-loading metal catalysts on carbon supports, tested using lacey carbon supported copper grids for catalyst characterization (Giulimondi et al., 2022).
