Gene Information

human ... ARPC4(10093)

General description

Actin related protein 2/3 complex, subunit 4 (ARPC4) is mapped to human chromosome 3p25.3. It is part of the ARP2/3 complex which connects this complex to the mother filament.

Immunogen

synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 26-40 of human ARPC4

Application

Yale Center for High Throughput Cell Biology IF-tested antibodies. Each antibody is tested by immunofluorescence against HUVEC cells using the Yale HTCB IF protocol. To learn more about us and Yale Center for High Throughput Cell Biology partnership, visit sigma.com/htcb-if.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Actin related protein 2/3 complex, subunit 4 (ARPC4) in plants is crucial for action dynamics and cordinates the tip growth and movement. It is highly expressed in most of the pancreatic carcinoma and may regulate cancer cell migration. It interacts with mycobacterial protein Rv1626 and its expression in Mycobacterium tuberculosis impacts its survival and infection profile, making it an effective anti-tuberculosis drug candidate.

Physical form

Solution in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, containing 15 mM sodium azide.

The mechanisms regulating the disassembly of branched actin networks formed by the Arp2/3 complex still remain to be fully elucidated. In addition, the impact of Arp3 isoforms on the properties of Arp2/3 are also unexplored. We now demonstrate that Arp3
