General description
Sephacryl® High Resolution chromatography media is a highly versatile gel filtration media that offers a wide range of fractionation capabilities. The matrix of Sephacryl® High Resolution media is a cross-linked copolymer of allyl dextran and N,N′-methylene bisacrylamide. This crosslinking gives good rigidity and chemical stability. The narrow particle size distribution, together with steep selectivity curves, results in good preparative characteristics with maintained high resolution. The hydrophilic nature of the media minimizes nonspecific adsorption and maximizes recovery. The excellent resolution and flow characteristics, long-term physical and chemical stability, and ease of handling make Sephacryl® HR the medium of choice for routine purification.
Sephacryl® High Resolution is available in a range of different bulk pack sizes and convenient pre-packed formats for easy scale-up and process development.
As a BioProcess medium, Sephacryl® High Resolution, meets industrial demands with security of supply and comprehensive technical and regulatory support.
Five different Sephacryl® High Resolution chromatography media, with different fractionation ranges, are available:
Sephacryl® S-100 High Resolution is designed for separating peptides and small proteins (fractionation range globular proteins 1 × 103–1 × 105).
Sephacryl® S-200 High Resolution are for purifying antibodies, serum proteins and mid-size proteins (fractionation range globular proteins 5 × 103–2.5 × 105).
Sephacryl® S-300 High Resolution are for purifying antibodies, serum proteins and mid-size proteins (fractionation range globular proteins 1 × 104–1.5 × 106).
Sephacryl® S-400 High Resolution to separate polysaccharides, macromolecules with extended structures and even small particles such as plasmids. (fractionation range globular proteins 2 × 104–8 × 106).
Sephacryl® S-500 High Resolution to separate polysaccharides, macromolecules with extended structures and even small particles such as plasmids (fractionation range Dextrans 4 × 104–2 × 107).
