General description
These columns offer an outstanding stability from pH 1.5 to 10.5 over a wide temperature range, and suitability for up to 100% aqueous mobile phases. Plus, they demonstrate best all-round retention characteristics, as proven by the Tanaka test.
Purospher® STAR RP-18 endcapped, 5 µm LiChroCART® 250-2 is a cartridge column which requires a manuCART™ cartridge column holder part number 1.51486.0001. The manuCART™ can be used to hold one cartridge column with or without direct integration of a guard column.
LiChroCART® cartridge columns mounted with a manuCART™ cartridge column holder are hand-tight only and have therefore a maximum pressure stability of 250 bar.
For higher pressure stability requirements Purospher® STAR RP-18 endcapped, 5 µm Hibar® RT 250-2 HPLC columns are available part number 1.50598.0001.
For use under UHPLC conditions (where a pressure stability up to 1000 bar is required) it is recommended to use a Purospher® STAR RP-18 endcapped, 3 µm Hibar® HR 250-2.1 UHPLC Column part number 1.50655.0001
The column dimension of 250 mm length x 2 mm I.D. is the optimal choice for HPLC separation of complex samples at lower flow rate, allowing significant solvent savings and improved sensitivity
