Descrizione generale

PSD95 (postsynaptic density95) represent a class of anchoring proteins which serve to localize various neuronal ion channels to post-synaptic densities. PSD95 and related proteins contain PDZ domains, which interact with NMDA receptors and voltage-gated K+ channels via a ET/SXV motif in the cytoplasmic carboxyl terminus of the receptor channels.

Immunogeno

Epitope: Near N-Terminus
KLH-conjugated linear peptide corresponding to human phospho PSD95 (Thr19) near the N-Terminus.

Applicazioni

Anti-phospho PSD95 Antibody (Thr19) is an antibody against phospho PSD95 (Thr19) for use in Western Blotting, Peptide Inhibition Assay, Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin).
Immunohistochemistry Analysis: A 1:50 dilution from a representative lot detected phospho PSD95 (Thr19) in human cerebellum, human cerebral cortex, and human thalamus tissue.

Qualità

Evaluated by Western Blotting in human fetal brain tissue lysate.

Western Blotting Analysis: 2.0 µg/mL of this antibody detected phospho PSD95 (Thr19) in 10 µg of human fetal brain tissue lysate.

Descrizione del bersaglio

~80 kDa observed. The calculated molecular weight is 80 kDa, however phospho PSD95 (Thr19) has been shown as a ~80-95 kDa band in some western blots (Nelson, C.D., et al. (2013). J. of Neuroscience. 33(29):12122-12135).

Activity of glycogen synthase kinase-3β (GSK-3β) is required for long-term depression (LTD) via molecular mechanisms that are incompletely understood. Here, we report that PSD-95, a major scaffold protein of the postsynaptic density (PSD) that promotes synaptic strength, is phosphorylated on
