Description générale

HiTrap® Protein A HP is a prepacked Protein A Sepharose High Performance column for preparative purification of monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies from ascites, serum, and cell culture supernatants.

HiTrap® Protein A HP is a prepacked ready to use, column for preparative purification of monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies. The special design of the column, together with the medium provide fast, simple and easy separations in a convenient format.
pH below 3 is sometimes required to elute strongly bound IgG species. However, protein ligands may hydrolyze at very low pH.

Protein A is derived from a strain of Staphylococcus aureus and contains five regions that bind to the Fc region of IgG. As an affinity ligand, protein A is coupled to Sepharose so that these regions are free to bind IgG.
