Oxcarbazepine is structurally a derivative of carbamazepine and is widely used as an anticonvulsant, antiepileptic and mood stabilizing drug. It is primarily used in the treatment of anxiety, mood disorders, epilepsy and bipolar disorders.

Aplicação

Oxcarbazepine has been used as a pharmaceutical secondary standard for the determination of the analyte in pharmaceutical formulations using spectrophotometric technique and high-performance thin layer chromatography.
