Photoreactors

PennPhD photoreactor front view of photoreactor.

Photoreactors provide an all-in-one platform to consistently and reproducibly conduct photoredox catalyzed reactions. Each photochemical reactor consists of a light source and a cooling system to maintain stability of the reactants and products.

Our photoreactors provide versatile and efficient means for performing photochemical reactions from screening to scale-up, with a range of wavelengths, and options allowing multiple photocatalytic reactions to be run in parallel.

In addition, explore our broad portfolio of photocatalysts, including acridinium, iridium, and ruthenium catalysts, visible light metal complex photoredox catalysts, and metal-free organic catalysts, for all your photoredox chemistry needs.

SynLED Parallel Photoreactor 2.0

The SynLED Parallel Photoreactor 2.0 houses a 4 x 4 reaction block lit from the bottom with either 365 nm or 450 nm wavelength LEDs. The newly designed reactor adds improved heat sink technology and a performance quartz LED cover to protect the light source from solvents while still delivering excellent light penetration. These upgrades allow even higher levels of consistency across reactions and between runs.

LightOx PhotoReact 365 Photoreactor

LightOx PhotoReact 365 Photoreactor

The benchtop LightOx PhotoReact 365 Photoreactor uses consistent, direct UV light for the catalysis of photochemical and photobiological reactions. Researchers have full control over light intensity, energy delivery rate, and time, which are monitored by sensors for rapid, reproducible results. The reactor can be used with standard size multi-well plates or single 95 mm round dishes.

Penn PhD Photoreactor

Penn PhD Photoreactor M2

The Penn PhD Photoreactor is a complete photoredox catalysis reactor.  This benchtop instrument includes a variable LED light source (365 to 450 nm), mechanical stirring and cooling.  The reactor supports various vial sizes including gc, 4, 8, 20, and 40 mL.
