Application

Polystyrene (Broad molecular mass distribution) standard reference material is primarily intended to calibrate and evaluate the performance of instruments used in the determination of molar mass and molar mass distribution.

Features and Benefits

  • Available with a certificate documenting NIST-certified value for mass-average molar mass (Mw) is based on original results from light scattering and ultracentrifugation measurements.
  • The certified values have metrological traceability to the SI derived unit for intrinsic viscosity (expressed as milliliters per gram).
  • The NIST certificate is provided with expiration certificate, storage, handling, and maintenance instructions.

Other Notes

Please download a current certificate at nist.gov/SRM for current analytes and certified values.
