Cell Line Origin
Human lung small cell carcinoma
Cell Line Description
The cell line COR-L24 was established from a lymph node biopsy of an untreated 71 year old male and was diagnosed as small cell lung carcinoma (SCLC). Bone marrow taken from the same patient contained hypercellular marrow consistent with normal haemopoietic cells and no evidence of neoplasm. In culture, this xenograft forming cell line grows as floating aggregates of packed cells with irregular shape.
Application
Cytotoxicity studies, study of small cell lung cancer
