Description

Analysis Note

Salicylic acid is the primary metabolite of aspirin, and is likely responsible for its antiinflammatory properties via suppression of cyclooxygenase genes; it also is thought to suppress colonic carcinogenesis. Ascentis Express RP-Amide provides good retention and resolution at low pH by a combination of hydrophobic and H-bonding intereactions.
