Biochem/physiol Actions

Vitamin D-binding protein (also known as gc-globulin) is a protein encoded by the GC gene in humans. It transports vitamin D metabolites in the circulation. Both vitamin D metabolites and vitamin D binding proteins (VDBP) are associated with asthma (regulation in the lung during acute allergen-induced airway inflammation). Vitamin D-binding protein (VDBP) haplotypes also influence free vitamin D levels.

Solution in phosphate buffered saline containing 0.02% sodium azide.
