General description

We are committed to bringing you Greener Alternative Products, which adhere to one or more of The 12 Principles of Greener Chemistry. This product has been enhanced for energy efficiency. Find details here.

Application

Ammonia may be used as a base to adjust pH for preparing mixed magnetite-hematite nanoparticles via combustion method. These nanoparticles show promising potential as sorbents for removing heavy metal ions from water.
Anhydrous ammonia has been used in dynamic reaction cell technology (DRC) to remove interfering ions without the loss of sensitivity. It has also been used for adjusting pH during the synthesis of magnetite-hematite mixture by combustion methods.
Reagent for chemical vapor deposition of TiN.

Packaging

Supplied in a carbon steel lecture bottle with a CGA180M/CGA110F needle valve installed.

Compatible with the following:
  • Aldrich® lecture-bottle station systems
  • Aldrich® lecture-bottle gas regulators

Recent studies suggest that alkalinizing treatments improve the course of chronic kidney disease (CKD), even in patients without overt metabolic acidosis. Here, we tested whether a decreased ability in excreting urinary acid rather than overt metabolic acidosis may be deleterious
