General description
Pharmaceutical secondary standards for application in quality control provide pharma laboratories and manufacturers with a convenient and cost-effective alternative to the preparation of in-house working standards.
Menaquinone -7 is a naphthoquinone derivative and one of the most active sub-type of vitamin K2, with 7 referring to the number of isoprene units in its structure. It is naturally found in fermented dairy products and is considered a nutrient, thereby being found as a component of various nutritional supplements.
Application
- Ultra high-performance liquid chromatography (UHPLC) based determination of menaquinone-7 and vitamin D3 in their combined tablet formulation
- Development of a thin-layer chromatographic-densitometric technique for the quantitative analysis of vitamins K and D3 in pharmaceutical tablet formulations and dietary supplements
- Simultaneous determination of vitamin D3 and K2 (Menaquinone-4 and Menaquinone-7) in dietary supplements by ultra-high-pressure liquid chromatography (UHPLC)
- Impurity profiling of menaquinone-7 in its active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) samples using HPLC coupled to UV detector
- Analysis of menaquinone-4 and menaquinone-7 by HPLC in combination with tandem mass spectrometry (MS/MS) in human milk samples
